The idea for this compilation of videos came from the research I have been doing on the relationship between core values, organizations, and companies.  During the research, I noticed that many companies have specific videos dedicated to the topic of culture and core values.

In the blog post below, a list of "culture videos" has been compiled. For now... the videos are in no particular order.  In the future, more emphasis will be given to the display, organization, and connection between other parts of this website.

Each video has a few thoughts included and key words have been highlighted and cross referenced with the current list of core values that have been identified in other businesses.  Additional words and phrases are present in the videos, but only the ones that have a match in the list of core values have been pulled out and identified.

For now, I hope you simply enjoy the messages and inspiration that come from the following productions.

Phillips 66

Very nice video. I like the historical references to the beginning of the company and would like to dig in and learn more.

Additional words mentioned:
Innovation
Diversity
Safety
Protect the Environment
Honor
Do the right thing
Commitment
Performance

Tyson Foods

I like how he framed up the application aspect of core values.  History and the origin story play a key role in how the company functions on a day to day basis.

Additional words mentioned:
Stewardship
Profit
Community

Levi Strauss

Who doesn't know an iconic brand like Levi's?  There is a nice variety of people interviewed and it is interesting to hear the many considerations that play a role in the day to day business at Levi's.

Additional words mentioned:
Opportunity
Grow - (Growth)
Responsibility

Walmart

There are a bunch of people in this production.  Many have been with the company for a long time and have extended the Walmart culture into other areas of their lives.

Additional words mentioned:
Responsibility
Value
Attitude
Fun
Respect
Honor
Customer

Papa Johns

Lots of employees talking about the culture at Papa Johns. The Camaro makes a cameo towards the end of the video, but I don't have the core values of Chevrolet to figure out if Pizza and Z28's are a good match or not.

Additional words mentioned:
Team or (Teamwork)
Opportunity
Celebrate
Attitude
Accountable
People
Do the right thing
Responsibility
Recognition

USM Modular Furniture

This is an interesting / different approach.  There are no interviews... nobody is talking. They simply do not tell you who they are... they show you.

There are a few text overlays, but for the most part, the values are simply in the product.  "Quality" and "Modularity" are displayed.  I would almost say that "Swissness" is in the production approach of the products and the video itself.

SmallBox

A great digital marketing agency in Indianapolis, IN.  With this video, you get a glimpse of how conversations around culture are translated into helping companies with all aspects of their branding and messaging.

Additional words mentioned:
Collaboration

Rolls Royce

This one of my favorite culture videos for one reason... personality.  The personalities of the people come across in the video which gives the presentation a whole different feel to a common topic.

Additional words mentioned:
Innovative (Innovation)
Fun
Excellence
Trusted (Trust)

Roche

The thing I like about this video is the guy that talks about innovation and having a vision of the future.  He clearly states, "This is one of the reasons I get up in the morning."

Additional words mentioned:
Respect
Innovation
Opportunity

Pratt & Whitney

The historical references are really cool.  There is light emphasis on the individuals talking about the internal culture at Pratt & Whitney, but much more about the connection of world culture and jet engines.  Personally, I'm glad Pratt & Whitney are the ones making air travel possible.

Additional words mentioned:
Dependability

Kimberly-Clark

"Performance driven culture." Bold unexpected thinking...

Additional words mentioned:
Team or (Teamwork)
Passion
Trust

Porsche

Out of all the videos presented here.. this is my favorite.  Quite simply... this is values alignment working well.  No words have been pulled out of the video. This is not a video about the internal culture of a business, but I believe it is a great representation of how two disintly different industries and companies can come together and make something new and unique happen.

If you like cars, video production and values alignment... then just put on some headphones, crank up the volume and enjoy.

Conclusion

In the comments below, I challenge you to see what other words, phrases or concepts you can pull out of the culture videos.  What are some of the key messages that are coming across that they may have missed themselves?  Culture is a fascinating topic and these businesses have done work to figure out who they are and why they exist.
