Leadership Book Roundup
Hello everyone!  Here we have a collection of books that you may find interesting. The idea for this list came after my recent travels to Los Angeles, CA, to attend the Leadership Live Event, hosted by the people at CultureSync.  While at the event, there were so many great people to meet, it was mind boggling.  Then, I started thinking to myself, "What books do these people read?"  So, I started looking at their websites and sending out emails in the quest to find some killer new reading material.  The books below are a compilation of the replies that were sent back.  The subject matter leans heavily toward the area of leadership, but also steps into personal development and sales.  If you are looking for a new book, there may be something interesting here.  I hope you enjoy the list.

Dr. Dan Kaufman

Over the years, Dan has been called to leadership in a variety of ways.  Through leading professional associations, chairing committees, participating and chairing community coalitions, founding a non-profit organization, serving in Rotary and serving as a K12 district administrator Dan has learned many lessons and has grown in ways he never would have imagined.  This calling became a passion that led him to go on to study leadership and receive his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Seattle University.  Now his greatest passion is to share what he has learned with others who are on similar paths.

The Culture Game, by Daniel Mezick
A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future, by Daniel Pink
Comments: I love a Whole New Mind because I think it supports a whole new way of of endorsing creativity. I just loved that it was no longer the world of the linear. I was excited to think about ways that the different things I could love could come together - and that bringing them together was a skill!
Linchpin: Are You Indispensable?, by Seth Godin
Comments: I thought Linchpin was great because it challenged me to take the next step in leadership and understand that people want good leadership - in the same way they want good art. There doesn't have to be a map - in fact there won't be one - but that is where the art comes in!

JP Laqueur

JP is a true believer in the power of a compelling story and a noble purpose to create understanding, bring people together, and provide the foundation for a strong brand and a high-performing culture. It's a craft he's practiced over a career that began at MCI as part of a team of evangelists for an exciting new technology that came with the lofty promise of being able to connect computers - and people - all over the world: the internet. After stops that included PanAmSat and Broadwing Communications, JP launched idea-ware, a full-service marketing firm specializing in helping technology firms and other clients tell their compelling brand stories.

Robert Cornish

How can I Inspire Greatness? That's the operating question Robert lives from each day. A.k.a. "The Winner's Coach" is from the time when he started coaching fellow racecar drivers, and it was typically those who were already winners who hired him (and won more often). Robert coached drivers who won 13 SCCA National Championships, Mazda MX 5 Cup Championship, and the only American driver since Mario Andretti to win an FIA world championship title.
